Prayer Power

Lord, I want to be one of Your faithful people who understands who the enemy is, what the war is all about, and how to do battle in the Spirit. I know that we do not war according to the flesh, but by Your Spirit in prayer we can cast down everything that exalts itself against You (2 Corinthians 10:5). Teach me how to pray so that my prayers become a mighty weapon against the enemy.

Help me to “put on the whole armor of God” so that I “may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil” (Ephesians 6:11). Help me to gird my waist with Your truth and “put on the breastplate of righteousness.” Remind me to cover my feet with “the gospel of peace” and help me to raise up “the shield of faith” so that I can quench “the fiery darts of the wicked one.” I have put on the “helmet of salvation” and will take up the sword of the Spirit, which is Your Word. Help me to pray in the Spirit with watchfulness and perseverance so that I might make intercession for all of Your people (Ephesians 6:14-18). I want to serve You well as a prayer warrior. Train me so that I will not fail to understand Your leading.
